Joe Ricci

Writer/Director

With a career spanning over 30 years, Joe is a writer and director whose work spans plays, musicals, concerts, and television. His writing credits include the Hallmark Channel/Crown Media film In the Key of Love, which achieved the highest single-day premiere viewership of any movie on Hallmark’s streaming platform; the plays The Chrysalis (FutureFest finalist) and Snapshots (2025 New Play Competition finalist); and the musicals Third Party Ruling and Frankie & Debbie Live at the Martini Lounge. He was commissioned to write the book for the musical Behind the Curtain, based on the life of television legend Johnny Carson. His concert works include Music of My Life and Imagine: A Celebration of Love, presented in New York City and on tour. As a director, his work has been seen Off-Broadway in Thao’s Library and throughout New York City and beyond. Joe’s creative process is deeply collaborative—rooted in a belief in the magic that happens when open, passionate artists come together in a room and influence one another.
